The book is about two parallel rivers causing havoc in the village that lies in between, and stories of women who fought for their livelihoods. Unusual treatment of brown, for the muddy water that engulfs the village most of the year, and ‘pins’ representing stories of revival.
Logo for indiadisasters.org, an initiative started by India Disasters Report (IDR), circa 2000. The waves of green represents the earth, blue above depicts flood, yellow the drought and the red sun shines above the displaced people.
Many NGOs have happily borrowed elements of this logo for their campaigns.
